Raised by Wolves? Stories of Feral Kids You Won’t Believe Exist
Shamdeo

In 1972, a young boy named Shamdeo was discovered in Musafirkhama, India, engaging playfully with wolf cubs. His appearance was marked by tangled hair, toughened skin on his knees, elbows, palms, and elongated, curved fingernails. He shared many traits with the legendary wolf children, Kamala and Amala, including his penchant for raw meat, his nocturnal lifestyle, and his close bond with jackals and dogs.
Given the name Shamdeo in the nearby village of Narayanpur, he adapted to a new diet but remained non-verbal, communicating through sign language. Later known as Pascal, he spent his final years at Mother Teresa’s Home for the Destitute and Dying in Lucknow, passing away in 1985.
