While Tippi’s childhood might seem like a series of untamed adventures alongside wild creatures, the reality included a harmonious blend of the wild and the nurtured. Many of the animals she formed bonds with had been rescued and raised by local farmers across the vast expanses of Southern Africa, finding solace and a second chance in human care.
These orphans of the bush, ranging from sprawling farms of thousands of hectares, often became tame and accustomed to human presence, enabling Tippi to interact closely and safely with them. Sylvie sheds light on this unique coexistence, where the lines between the wild and the familiar blur.
