Raised by Wolves? Stories of Feral Kids You Won’t Believe Exist
Kamala and Amala

In 1920, the tale of Kamala and Amala, two girls mingling with wolves, emerged from Godamuri, west of Calcutta, India. Found in an abandoned ant hill by Reverend Joseph Amrito Lal Singh, their rescue was dramatic; the mother wolf was shot as the girls, aged eight and two, were brought into human society.
They had wolf-like traits, including distinctive eyes, misshapen jaws, and sharp teeth. Tragically, Amala passed away from a kidney infection a year later, yet Kamala adapted over nine years. Despite their journey, skepticism surrounds their story, casting shadows on the accounts the reverend gave and leaving the truth shrouded in mystery.
