Raised by Wolves? Stories of Feral Kids You Won’t Believe Exist
Victor

Victor, famously known as the Wild Boy of Aveyron, emerged from the forests of southern France near the turn of the 19th century. Captured when he was about 12 years old, he bore numerous scars and was devoid of speech. His story fascinated the world, and people traveled far to witness the boy who lived in the wild.
One biologist, curious about his adaptability, even tested his resistance to cold by exposing him to snow with no visible impact. Despite numerous attempts to integrate him into society and teach language, all efforts proved futile. Victor ultimately resided in a Paris institution until his death at age 40.
