The Mysterious One-Limb Strongman / Nicodemus the Indescribable (1869 – 1894/1908)
Sadly, there’s so little information about ‘Nicodemus the Indescribable’ on the Internet. After all, he’s one of the most gifted and interesting-looking performers of the sideshow era. Despite being born with multiple malformed limbs (all but his right arm), he managed to make a living as a circus acrobat.
While Nicodemus is indescribable, he was described as being utterly strong. It does take some strength to perform acrobatics on a stage with three impaired limbs! Nicodemus’ death was mysterious as well, with some sources citing he drowned in 1894 and others that he passed away years later, in 1908.
