One, Two, Three! / The Three-Legged Man (1889 – 1966)
Portrayed by the actor Jonathan Redavid in the 2017 blockbuster movie “The Greatest Showman,” Frank Lentini was an Italian-American circus performer known as ‘The Three-Legged Man’ or ‘The Three-Legged Football Player.’ Born in Sicily, he later moved to the United States and worked alongside Buffalo Bill in his Wild West Show.
Lentini’s third leg “belonged” to his parasitic twin. More than a man with an extra leg, Lentini was also said to have four feet and, believe it or not, two sets of genitals! Before passing away due to lung failure at the age of 77, he was married twice and had four children.
