Raised by Wolves? Stories of Feral Kids You Won’t Believe Exist

Bear Girl

George Maranz unveiled a captivating story from his visit to a psychiatric hospital in Bursa, Turkey, where he encountered the Bear Girl. In 1967, she fiercely attacked hunters after they aimed for a female bear. Initially deemed a “wood spirit” by the locals for her bear-like characteristics, she was, in truth, a human girl thrust into an extraordinary circumstance.

Her refusal to eat cooked meals and preference for sleeping in the room’s darkest corner signaled her struggle to adjust to society. Historical records suggest that she might have been the two-year-old girl who vanished from a nearby village 14 years prior, presumably adopted by the bear family that found her.
