Discovered by Russian officials in 2008 at age seven, Prava’s upbringing was void of human conversation, leading him to mimic bird sounds and gestures as his primary means of communication. Social workers like Galina Volskaya emphasized that while he wasn’t physically harmed, his mother’s neglect left him chirping and flapping his arms as ways of communication.
