Raised by Wolves? Stories of Feral Kids You Won’t Believe Exist

Ivan Mishukov

In the harsh winter of Russia in 1996, four-year-old Ivan Mishukov made the brave decision to escape an abusive household, finding solace and survival on the streets. He befriended a pack of wild dogs, earning their trust and becoming their pack leader.

By sharing the scraps of food he gathered from begging, Ivan forged a bond with these dogs, providing him with protection and companionship. This lasted two years until he was placed in a children’s home at six. Ivan’s adeptness in language, honed through his interactions while begging, facilitated his swift adaptation to a more conventional life. He studied in military school and even served in the Russian army.
