Before conjoined twins were treated as two “separate” individuals (yes, we know how that sounds!), people viewed them as men and women with two heads. Quite naturally, some ended up in sideshow circuses. The eerie conjoined twins in the picture are but one (or should we say two?) example of this kind of performer.
The most famous two-headed circus act that ever lived is probably the ‘Two-Headed Mexican,’ born Pasqual Piñón. He worked in railroads in Texas when he was discovered and turned into a sideshow act. His look was a little different: he had a second head on top of his head, coming out of his forehead.
