Born with a genetic condition known as phocomelia, Eli Owen had his feet attached to his hips. However, he never let it get in the way of his dreams. Dubbed ‘The Legless Acrobat,’ Owen developed an interest in acrobatics even before becoming a teenager. He reportedly joined a circus group at the age of 13, but official documents dispute this claim.
After spending most of his days working as a circus performer, Owen became a nationwide legend and was even called “the most handsome man in showbiz.” It’s quite a feat for a man born with no legs but abundant talent.
