Born with a congenital deformity known as dipygus, Myrtle Corbin had two different pelvises side by side. For that reason, she had a second pair of smaller legs in between her bigger, functional ones. She became a circus performer at the age of 13.
When Corbin got pregnant, her physician had to investigate whether she had a child in her right or left uterus! In a way, her lower body was like a mirrored image, as seen in a Rorschach test.
