Franz Beckenbauer – all good things come in threes
Franz Beckenbauer is the perfect example that all good things come in threes. After two of his marriages broke up, he has been happily married to Heidrun Burmeister since 2006. Franz and Heidi met in 1990 when the ex-soccer player was still in his second marriage. When their two children, Joel Maximilian in 2000 and Francesca in 2002, were born, the two decided to get married in their native Tyrol. Heidrun or ‘Heidi’ is always by her husband Franz’s side, in good times and bad. The two have already survived illnesses, operations and other tragic strokes of fate together. The two also share a passion for golf.
