Wes Brown – £2.45 Million, Alderley Edge
When Wes Brown moved to Sunderland in 2010, it prompted him to list his Prestbury mansion. He was looking to make £4.5 million from the sale, but he had trouble finding a buyer. It wasn’t a problem isolated to Brown’s abode; most footballers with mansions in the same area faced similar issues.
Brown slashed the asking price by nearly half the initial asking amount, when in 2016, two years down the line, the five-bedroom house hadn’t moved. The house also comes with dual dressing rooms, a Jacuzzi and sauna, and a pool. Three reception rooms and a guest flat located above the garage are part of the spread.
