All This for Nothing?
The fact that someone left their belonging in a basement and never returned to retrieve it also meant that its content might not be of significance. So possibly, the husband and wife were getting excited about nothing! It could just have been an ordinary box with some old newspaper cuttings or discarded clothes.
Having said so, they tried to make one last guess before opening the mysterious box. The wife tried shaking it, but no specific noise came out of it. Was it empty or completely full – what do you reckon?
