Wayne Gardner began racing professionally at the age of 18 in local Australian competitions. Little did he know that he was an international star on the rise who would soon participate in competitions worldwide and even be crowned the World championship winner in 1987.
After a short-lived but prosperous career as a motorcycle racer, Gardner switched to racing cars, which he also did well in, so much so that ‘Coca-Cola’ offered to sponsor him.
