Unbelievable Boomer Kid Activities That Would Never Happen Today
Flipping Through the Phonebook

Flipping through a phonebook was an everyday Boomer activity that now feels like a relic of a bygone era. These hefty directories, packed with pages of names, addresses, and numbers, were essential for finding anyone or any business. Phonebooks were popular from the 1950s to the 1990s as the go-to resource for everything from calling friends to ordering pizza.
Kids would even use them for school projects and, sometimes, to boost their height at the dinner table! With the advent of the internet and smartphones, the need for physical phonebooks has vanished. Nowadays, a quick online search or a voice command does the trick.
