Cleft Palate and Cleft Lip

The mouth and all its parts don’t usually fall victim to many genetic disorders, but cleft palate or cleft lip is one of the most common defects some children are born with. A cleft palate can occur due to a genetic condition or a syndrome. On the other hand, a cleft lip is simply a split in the upper lip on one or both sides of the center.
A cleft palate’s common effects are difficulty speaking and feeding. It can be easily corrected if it has harmful effects, but we can’t emphasize enough what an interesting look it produces in anyone.
