Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffrey – In a Serious Relationship
Caitlin Clark is the athlete of the moment. After breaking records in college basketball and drawing unprecedented audiences for Iowa Hawkeyes games, the 22-year-old guard turned professional on Monday, April 16, when she was selected by Indiana Fever as the first pick in the WNBA Draft.
During her NCAA career, Clark became the all-time leading scorer in Division I, surpassing the 3,667 points set by former LSU star “Pistol” Pete Maravich. Caitlin set the record with 3,951 points and won numerous awards, including the Naismith and Wooden Awards.
As Caitlin transitions into a professional basketball star, one person has consistently shown unwavering support both on and off the court—her partner, fellow athlete Connor McCaffrey, who was by her side during the WNBA Draft on April 15.
Like Clark, McCaffrey is also a basketball player and former Hawkeye. According to Hawkeye Sports records, Connor graduated with degrees in finance and political science from the University of Iowa while excelling as a dual-sport athlete. During his time as a student, he earned the team’s Academic Excellence Award for five seasons and was honored with the Academic All-Big Ten accolade five times.
