Beverly Callard made her television debut through Beverly Sowden’s role in the soap opera Emmerdale. This portrayal certainly did a number on Callard’s popularity, as was she quickly approached by various casting directors. The rising starlet then appeared in a handful of films before finally being approached by Coronation Street’s production team.
