Sarah Lancashire has had quite a history that set her up for greatness. Starting from her days as an undergraduate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Sarah has moved from learning to teaching drama at the University of Salford.
Yet it wasn’t until her inclusion on the soap opera Coronation Street that Lancashire found widespread success. Sarah was cast on the show from 1991 to 1996 and then again in 2000, which was the year she signed a 2-year contract with ITV network that changed her life forever. Today, the established actress is an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to drama.
