Karen Knotts is the daughter of the late comedian Don Knotts. She divulged that her desire to follow in his footsteps and join showbiz was a sore topic growing up. They eventually saw eye to eye, and he supported her fully in the end. She even worked on a one-woman show dubbed Tied Up in Knotts, telling the story about life growing up as the daughter of his famous father. She also pens stage plays and has received a Merce Award nomination for her work on Roger and Betsy. Sadly, she lost her father in 2006 to complications related to lung cancer.
