Melissa McCarthy has done memorable roles in Mike & Molly, Bridesmaids, Spy, and The Heat, but her constant filming didn’t make her overweight. In an interview, the actress revealed that she was not overly plump as a kid, but started gaining weight when she stopped taking care of her diet.

After McCarthy’s brilliant performance as Sookie St. James in Gilmore Girls, she took a break from acting and started a physician-supervised all-liquid diet. This regime helped her lose an astonishing 75 lbs in four months! McCarthy decided to pay it forward by making her diet plan public and urging other people to follow suit.
