Rebecca Adlington, Lost 22 Lbs
Even elite Olympic athletes struggle with body image issues! Swimmer and three-time gold medalist Rebecca Adlington has never shied away from expressing her feelings about not having a traditionally beautiful model-like figure. Rebecca had her first child in 2015, and later, she wrote in the Mother&Baby magazine that she had expected her body to “spring back” after the birth.
To her dismay, this wasn’t the case. Instead, the retired swimmer had to lose weight through hard work and dedication. Rebecca lost around 22 lbs after her pregnancy. To her, it wasn’t that big of a deal, but to us non-Olympic athletes, that’s rather impressive!
