Scolopendra Subspinipes
The Scolopendra subspinipes, a type of centipede, looks scary right off the bat, and seeing one in your house might just give you a heart attack. They mostly reside in eastern Asia, but it’s still possible to cross paths with one in the United States and South/Central America.
This kind of centipede can grow as long as 20 cm, which makes them one of the biggest centipedes in the world. As a predator, they’re aggressive, and they mostly prey on scorpions, spiders, vinegaroons. It’s even possible for them to kill small reptiles or mice. Their venom is dangerous and can be fatal to humans.
