Sunburns & Snickers: These Beach Pics Will Make You Thankful for Air Conditioning!
Seal the Deal by the Beach
In an unexpected twist to the usual beach scenery, a seal took sunbathing to a whole new level, claiming a beach bed as its own. This wasn’t just any seal, but Argiro, a monk seal known for her unusual choice of resting spots amidst the hustle and bustle of human beachgoers in Greece.
Unlike her peers who seek solitude in hidden coves, Argiro loves the sun’s warmth and passersby’s curious glances. Her presence was a rare treat, considering monk seals are among the most endangered species worldwide, with just 450 left in 2014. However, that number has risen to 1500 thanks to conservation efforts.
