At 25, Kate Beckinsale wasn’t having the greatest time. Her film “Brokedown Palace” was poorly received and bombed at the box office. Later, she made up for that with her performance in “Pearl Harbor” in 2001. She also had a decent enough portfolio of films before than the one poor film didn’t damage her reputation.
Of course, she would ultimately become synonymous with the “Underworld” franchise, playing Selene in the film. She also had roles in “Van Helsing,” “Whiteout,” and Contraband, among others, and in 2021 had a role in a series called “Guilty Party.”
