Tippi Degré: A Childhood in the Wild

Born to French wildlife photographers Sylvie Robert and Alain Degré in Windhoek, Namibia, in June 1990, Tippi Degré’s childhood was anything but ordinary. Named after Tippi Hedren, the famed actress in Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds,” her life was an incredible journey across Africa alongside her adventurous parents.

Her companions were the continent’s majestic wildlife—elephants, leopards, snakes, and crocodiles. Growing up in the bush, she formed unique bonds with these animals, offering a glimpse into a childhood that was as enchanting as it was extraordinary. Her story is a real-life testament to the harmony between humans and nature and continues to inspire awe and wonder.
