Interestingly, one of Nike’s founders, Phil Knight, graduated from this institution in 1959 and went on to establish the renowned company in 1978, alongside his former track and field coach. As a result, all athletic attire produced by Nike receives the endorsement of the university. In December 2012, a physics professor calculated that Oregon Football boasted an incredible 9,984 unique combinations of uniforms.
