Back in 1887, the college’s founders had a vision for a unique institution that didn’t cater exclusively to the privileged elite. They firmly believed that hardworking individuals deserved the benefits of higher education.
This led to the establishment of the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. Today, the school is not only renowned for its programs but also for an event known as the Krispy Kreme Challenge. During this game, students sprint for two and a half miles to reach the nearest Krispy Kreme store.
