We know you’re probably as creeped out by the events displayed in this picture as Yao Ming clearly was by the look on his face. But here’s some insight. Ming was a popular basketball player who made notable impacts in the NBA world, and his opponents usually had a tough time with him on the court.
It may not have been on purpose, but the licking of Ming’s underarm by this opponent really looks like the last resort to stop him from making the basket since all else had failed. Ming still took the shot, but his opponent may have succeeded because that must have been very distracting.
