It might sound unbelievable to some, but yes, this place is known to be one of the more terrifying sites on earth. After the town of Craco was abandoned by the last ever inhabitants, it’s become a ghosts’ town since then. Looking at how enchanting Craco is, we can’t believe people wanted to leave it either!
The surrounding hills here are earthquake-prone, and it is an area of massive landslides that worsened even more since water and sewer systems have gone up here. Don’t forget to walk in a group when you visit Craco!
