Who knew that the magic of nature could make a place so scary and unbelievable. That is precisely the case with the Danakil Depression in Eritrea. It is, without fail, one of the hottest and most dangerous places found on planet earth!
The entire ground is full of cracks and has lakes that are bubbling high with hot lava. One can find different colors here because of the hydrothermal fields and a scene that you would have never come across elsewhere. No wonder the name of the place has the word ‘depression’ in it (note the pun)!
