A deserted amusement park would make an excellent filming site for a horror film, and ‘Lake Shawnee’s Park’ would aptly fit the bill.
The park was abandoned in 1966 after a young girl was found lifeless at the swings, and since then, efforts to reopen the case have proven futile. Reports of ghost sightings around the park have made people avoid it further, and even the park facilities have been covered with vegetation, making for one spooky spot! Only the brave would dare visit the park, but can you imagine the sight of a white silhouette swinging around at midnight? Creepy!
