Johnny Carson found success through his work as a host and comedian. When he first met Joanna Holland, he just knew he wanted to be with her. He later courted her and when the couple got married, their marriage lasted for a total of 13 years. They ended up filing for divorce in 1983 and the divorce papers were not an easy thing to settle. Their divorce lawyers worked really hard for them to reach a decent settlement. Some $20 million was deducted from Johnny Carson’s bank account for the settlement – making Joanna financially happy and independent. Carson’s life came to an end in 1999 when he suffered a heart attack.
