The cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” put a lot of time and effort into ensuring that merchandise and conventions were in order. Patrick Stewart portrayed the smart and level-headed Captain Jean-Luc Picard for seven seasons of the sitcom. He had big enough shoes to fill, and he definitely gave it his all.
Stewart was paid handsomely per episode, and though he didn’t receive any residuals for the show until 2017, in early 2020, he played his character in another series, “Star Trek: Picard.” With all these reruns and comic cons, he’s still yet to receive anything in the form of rerun fees.
