Actress Catherine Deneuve is truly the pride of France. Aside from being a beauty, Deneuve is also a multi-awarded actress, not just in her native France, but around the globe as well. She’s won best actress awards from César, BAFTA, and the Academy, and she’s also been awarded by the main film festivals in the world – the Venice Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival. In America, her most memorable films include Hustle, The Hunger, and The April Fools where she starred opposite American icon, Jack Lemon. Deneuve also became the model of France’s national symbol of liberty, Marianne, in 1985.
