JULIE GOODYEAR – NOW 79 YEARS OLD
Julie Goodyear is an exceptional actress widely known for playing the character of “Bet Lynch” in the successful ITV serial opera Coronation Street. She made her first appearance as Bet in 1966, after which she took some training to polish her skills. Julie became a regular on the show from 1970 until 1995 and was honored with the Special Recognition Award at the National Television Awards.
Coming from a little troubled childhood, she never gave up on her passion and has definitely worked hard in order to achieve all this success and respect. Goodyear was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 1996 New Year’s Honours.
