Anyone who is a fan of animation, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with the work of Kirk Wise. He’s directed some of the most popular animated movies of all time, including Atlantis: The Lost Empire and The Lion King. Wise is known for his work on traditional animation techniques, and he has been recognized with several awards for his achievements in the field.
Wise oversaw the acclaimed Beauty and the Beast, released in 1991, the first animated film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, after serving as a storyboard artist on The Rescuers Down Under and The Prince and the Pauper.
