HELEN SHAPIRO – NOW 75 YEARS OLD
Helen Kate Shapiro is a British singer and actress specializing in pop and jazz. She was one of Britain’s most successful female vocalists while still a teenager in the early 1960s. When she was fourteen, Shapiro recorded two UK chart-toppers with a voice described by AllMusic as having “the maturity and sensibility of someone way beyond their teen years.”
Walking Back to Happiness, her autobiography was released in 1993. She appeared as a guest on BBC Radio 4’s The Reunion and BBC Radio 3’s Good Morning Sunday. Shapiro has been happily married to John Judd, a British actor who had been in several films and television shows.
