Porcupine mating is a serious business, and their fights are not for the faint-hearted. These spiky creatures may fight over territory, access to food, and, most importantly, a chance to mate. Whenever a female calls out to mate, it attracts several males who engage in a brutal fight lasting for hours.
During these battles, they use their sharp quills and incisor teeth to inflict severe injuries on each other. This particular fight looks like a boxing match, but it can lead to death in some cases. Even the winning male will have to mate with up to a hundred rival quills stuck in its face. Porcupine love is tough!
