Ilka Bessin became known throughout Germany when she conquered the stages of Germany as “Cindy from Marzahn” in a pink jogging suit, princess crown and lots of make-up. Ilka Bessin has long since given up her jogging suit. Instead, she founded a fashion label and has become a successful business woman. And otherwise, Ilka Bessin doesn’t really have that much in common with “Cindy from Marzahn”. She has also never lived in Marzahn, but comes from the bourgeois Berlin district of Wilmersdorf. She still lives there today and has afforded herself a spacious apartment with her stage success.
