Helmut Dietl was one of the most famous directors in Germany. But he not only directed numerous television and film productions, but was also successful as a screenwriter. With series such as “Monaco Franze – The Eternal Stenz” and “Kir Royal” and such well-known films as “Schtonk!” and “Rossini – or the murderous question of who slept with whom” he is not only known in Germany but also internationally become. Helmut Dietl lived in Munich with his fourth wife Tamara Duve and their daughter Serafina Marie Dietl. The well-known director died here in March 2015. He was suffering from cancer and had suffered a stroke years earlier.
