Prior to relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, mega-famous country singer Dolly Parton experienced a childhood upbringing of abject poverty. With not having a lipstick, she’d use medicine to stain her lips. She first made a living by writing songs for other artists, then she finally released her own album, Hello, I’m Dolly.

Parton has written more than 3000 tunes! These include  I Will Always Love You, which topped the US charts for country music twice. Additionally, it became an international hit for the late popular singer Whitney Houston. In 2017, Parton became the co-writer and provider of featured vocals on Rainbowland, a tune on singer Miley Cyrus’ album titled Younger Now. Cyrus is Parton’s goddaughter.
