Ruthie Tompson – 111
Back in July 1910, in Maine, Ruthie Tompson was born. She became one of the leading names of the film-making industry while working for The Walt Disney Company, first as an inker, and eventually, as a camera technician. In fact, she helped create films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the characters of Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Duck.
Tompson is alive to the day, aged 110. She retired back in 1975 after having already worked with Disney for almost four decades. She’s now remembered for her contribution to countless films, even Dumbo and Fantasia! In 2020, despite her age, she was on an episode of Not-So Small World.
