She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the movie Darling. Christie is also known for her activism on behalf of animal rights, antinuclear and environmental causes.
Although she stays away from the limelight, she’s still active in the industry. She was last seen in The Company You Keep and narrated The Bookshop. Currently, she lives on a farm near Montgomery in North Wales and often has friends over.
