Yann Moix is an author, director, and TV presenter from France. He received many accolades for his books and has also directed movies based on his novels including the 2004 fantasy/comedy film, Podium. His debut novel, Jubilations vers le Ciel, won the Académie française’s Prix François Mauriac while his Naissance won the Prix Renaudot, a prestigious literary award in France. People magazine named Yann the highest-paid author in 2019 with a reported $96 million so far and estimated his entire fortune at $275 million. He received flak for his comments in January 2019 wherein he said that women over 50 are “too old to love” and that he prefers “younger women’s bodies”.
