George Armstrong Custer

George Armstrong Custer was a colorful and controversial figure in American history, best known for his role in the American Indian Wars and his demise at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. George graduated from West Point and quickly rose through the ranks in the Union Army during the Civil War, gaining a reputation for his boldness and bravery.
After the war, he continued his military career, eventually leading the 7th Cavalry Regiment into the Great Sioux War of 1876. During this conflict, George and his men famously met their end at the hands of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors at the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
