Known for his strategic planning and the loyalty he inspired among his gang, Butch’s exploits grabbed headlines and captured the public’s imagination.

His partnership with the Sundance Kid is particularly legendary, culminating in their flight to South America. Butch’s life of crime ended under mysterious circumstances in Bolivia around 1908. He remains a symbol of the rebellious spirit of the Old West, immortalized in folklore.
