Nick Chubb is a running back for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. Nick Chubb, or Nicholas as his family call him lives in Cedar Creek. His family settled in the area in the 1850s. He and was drafted by the Browns in the 2nd round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Chubb is named after his great-grandfather, one of eight siblings who founded Chubbtown, Georgia, a colony of free blacks who persevered through the American Civil War. His dad Henry played at Valdosta State, and his uncle Aaron was a linebacker for Georgia.
